Confidence Level

The confidence values indicate the likelihood that the calculated result of a vital sign is within the expected accuracy target, as defined in SDK Accuracy Targets.

The confidence values will be reported to the application as part of the final report for each of the following vital signs:

The confidence level values are low, medium, high, and unknown.

When confidence is low:

  • Measurement conditions prevent calculating a valid result for that vital sign. The SDK will not report the results nor the confidence level associated with this vital sign.
  • It is recommended that the application advises the user to follow the guidelines described in best practices on how to take a measurement and repeat the measurement as needed.
